This image of the Caryatid Head in Profile (Kore A) reflects the original marble carving, dating to 420 B.C.E., in the Acropolis Museum in Athens. The original graphite drawing was inspired, in part, by The Caryatid Hairstyling Project (2009), directed by Katherine A. Schwab. A short film of the project was screened at the AGON Archaeological Film Festival in Athens (2012) and subsequently elsewhere in Europe and the U.S. Photographs from the project were exhibited at the Greek Consulate General in New York City and the Greek Embassy in Washington, D.C. in 2015.
