This image of the Coin with Arethusa is inspired by an ancient coin dating to 405 B.C.E., with Arethusa on the reverse. The original charcoal drawing formed part of an exhibition, An Archaeologist’s Eye: Photographs and Parthenon Drawings of Katherine A. Schwab, which took place in the Lukacs Gallery, Fairfield University, 2009.
