This image of Poseidon incorporates the surviving original marble fragments, dating to 438-432 B.C.E., of the torso in the Acropolis Museum in Athens, the British Museum in London, and a historic plaster cast in the collection of the Fairfield University Art Museum. The original graphite drawing formed part of an exhibition, An Archaeologist’s Eye: The Parthenon Drawings of Katherine A. Schwab, which toured the U.S.A., from 2014 to 2018.
